Bled Sports Hall

Moderate climate, beautiful nature and well settled tourist infrastructure attract many athletes to Bled. Some of them are only recreational athletes while others are professional.

Ice sports have a long tradition in Bled. Curling, ice skating and ice hockey are winter sports that began on the frozen lake. Today training sessions and competitions are held in a modern sports hall in the centre of Bled and in the vicinity of Bled's hotels. The hall is also suitable for concerts and various types of events and exhibitions.

 

 

Notice about the renovation of the Bled Ice Rink

 

The Bled Ice Rink, where the roof is currently being renovated, will also undergo a complete overhaul of its refrigeration system after fifty years.

The work will include draining the system, dismantling equipment, removing the old concrete slab and refrigeration collector, applying new drainage material, insulation, installing heating, pouring the pre-stressed concrete slab, and laying the new refrigeration collector. Additionally, the entire machinery room will be renovated. During the draining of the system and removal of the old slab, hazardous material work will be carried out under supervision, while the remaining work will be of a construction and installation nature. Please be informed that the parking lot in front of the Ice Rink will be part of the construction zone during the renovation, and therefore parking will not be possible.

 

The work will take place in two shifts between February 1 and June 20, 2025. The Ice Rink is expected to be available for use again on June 25, 2025.
